Day 36 - Steacon

Today's BBQ was an absolute stunner.

To kick off this post, here are some 'action' shots of hardcore Barbequeing.

With leftover tortillas, salsa, steak and bacon, I made it home with the decision to make "steacon burritos".

Ingredients as follows:

The Steak and Bacon, or, Steacon, was sizzled to perfection. A few burnt corners and edges and lots of drippy fat. The Jalapenos were added alongside the Tomato.

Once cooked and combined, it looked like this:

They were then wrapped in tin foil and put over the open grill for a few minutes each side.

Although spicy, Jonathan was excited to eat some of his garden-grown Jalapenos.

They were absolutely delicious and I highly recommend this as an alternative to more traditional Barbequed foods. Wrapping and heating melts the cheese inside and warms up the salsa a little so it's not a war of cold vs hot wrapped in a delicious flour tortilla.

Also on the menu were Joel's experimental Polenta Cakes:

And a Vege Burger.

The vege burger served as a delicious entree. Here's some more sweet action shots of Jonathan eating the burger.

As evident in the above photograph, the Burger enters Jonathan's mouth and his eyes roll back, skyrocketing him into a trance-like state. Testament to the abundance of good flavours found inside many Barbequed Burgers.

"This really is like eating sand" - Jonathan Burgess (on eating the Polenta cakes).
