Day 30 - Day 30

I have some pics on Olwen's Camera. Patience.

Well, I made it to 30 days. And what better way to celebrate than with some kick arse Lamb and dried Apricot Kebabs, and some 'Peri-Peri' marinated Chicken thighs from Westmere Butchery.

In a now routine-like manner, I unveiled the 4-burner of glory, sparked the gas and waited 'til the plate was nice and hot. I find I have better and tastier results coming down from a high heat, as opposed to going up from a low.

The Chicken took a long time to cook, as expected, and of course, as a precaution. The marinade went all black and crispy, as marinade tends to do, but I tend to like that on chicken. I cut the chicken and put it on some fancy lookin' bread that Joel had, with some fancy (and unbelievably potent) cheese, packed with cumin seeds for mean flavour. Yeah boyeee. Oh, I slapped some Best Foods Mayo on there too. Chicken Sammitch!

While we were waiting for the Chicken to cook, Ben was lovely enough to offer me some "life" to get high on. Thanks Ben. He also told me about this: http://goodaftermornings.blogspot.com/

Bigitty Bam! Chicken done and on the plate...

Onward.

One bite was all it took to elevate me into poultrous bliss. You can't help but sigh and smile at the same time.

You can't.

I ate that pretty quick. Inhaled it even.

On to Lamb Kebabs. They were pretty chunky. In fact, I'd go as far as saying they were quite possibly the chunkiest kebabs I have ever cooked and eaten. They were of similar proportions to a real massive shit. One with a decent enough girth to make you squint your eyes, hold your breath and pray you don't split your arsehole trying to pass it. The shape and colour were of a similar nature.

Although they looked like a bathroom surprise you don't really want to have to deal with, they smelled and tasted quite the opposite. Tender, juicy and flavoursome, with just the right amount of mint marinade and dried apricot.

Joel and I enjoyed these meaty treats in absence of vegetables.

Ahhhhhh bring on 31.
