Day 25 - AC/DC

Once again. No batteries, so no camera. Gutz, bey.

Jon had invited a few people over for a BBQ... and to listen to AC/DC playing their AWESOME show down at Western Springs. Naturally, I was invited.

I ventured in a leisurely fashion through the gate in the fence to Jon and Michelle's about a half past 7, no shoes on my feet, cold beer in hand. I was greeted by a hatted Scott and a regular Jonathan, also having beers (props) and listening to Shihad between making comments about them, and possibly some other topics.

Soon after, Michelle appeared from behind a curtain. I think she was hiding from a bug or something and we were joined a little later by Ben and Karolina.

Shihad spittled out and the BBQ was wheeled in, sparked and heated.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, preparations were being made:

Mushrooms with Cream Cheese and Jon's home-grown Jalapenos.
Sliced Eggplant.
Freshly culled and quartered courgette.
Vege Sausages and Dogs.
Marinated Tofu.
Corn. (Bad Dad style)
Peaches with Blueberries.
Banana.

There may have been other things (someone had some chips?) but this is the important stuff.

Jon, your Jalapenos are delicious! (open context)

The grill was fully loaded with plant matter and smoothly sizzling away when the siz' was abruptly interrupted by a brief bout of cheering, before launching into the loudest guitar I have ever heard. Seriously, at one point, Angus was playing by himself and could be heard for miles. One dude!
The sound of the band was pretty much perfect. The volume in our back yard was enough so that you had to talk louder than normal, but not enough to make you want to get away from it. Abe, Mythily, Leon and Esther arrived to "Thunderstruck" and were instantly gratified. I blissed out to "Let there be Rock" on a chair that was really close to the ground. The band was awesome. As expected, all the hits. You know what you're gonna get from AC/DC, and they delivered, whilst we enjoyed BBQ'd awesome and beers.

"These peaches have changed my life" - Esther Stephens.
