Day 22 - Best. Burgers. Ever.

After 21 days of BBQ, I have to say, I'm pretty over sausages. But that's ok, because it forces you to be creative.

After an important discussion with Abe;

"Bro, you hungry?"
"I could eat."
"BBQ?"
"Sure."

It was decided that we hit Grey Lynn Foodtown.

On this occasion, whatever food made my mouth moist made it into the basket.
Abe went into incredible depth about why he thought food that made his nipples tingle was the best option for our soon-to-BBQ:

Baps.
Falafel.
Bacon.
Camembert.
Banana.
Mango.
Cinnamon.

This list was also added to from items at home:

Pineapple.
Best Foods Mayo.
Kaitaia Fire.
Fresh Tomato and Lettuce from the garden.
Sugar.

The initial idea was Banana with Cinnamon and Sugar:

A.k.a. "Tinnies".

In our 'high on life' state we decided that green Bananas were the way to go, as they could "handle" the heat better. This, unfortunately, wasn't realized, as they weren't that nice at all. Will have to experiment with different levels of ripeness though because this has the potential to be really, really delicious.

Fortunately though, we made the best Falafel Hawaiian Burgers EVER!

The burger on the left contains grilled Pineapple, and the burger on the right contains a grilled "Mango Steak".

My pick of the day was the Mango, as it was more subtle. Seriously, these were the best burgers I have eaten in a long time, and a welcome change from stupid fucking sausages.

Verdict...
